XD is an emerging topic that will blend multiple disciplines and tackle extreme topics and outcomes through new and novel design approaches, methods, and tools. As an example, XD may enable designing solutions for extreme complexity or developing massive structures. These interdisciplinary workshops are designed to define and move this emerging topic forward by helping define topics and ideate future research questions.
The first workshop will be a 1.5-day event, planned for August 24th and 25th 2023 in Boston, MA, right after the ASME IDETC Conference. Two nights of hotel accommodations and meals will be covered by the workshop.
